Mai, are you an admin, or is there an admin active? The other wikis I have worked on do not have "Bureaucrat" status, so I'm not sure if you have the ability to delete pages or not. I am trying to add in some things for the RF4 wiki, and did not realize that items are not categorized by their inventory screen labels, but by the shipment box (i think?). So I had created a couple of pages that need deleted.
Wanted to work on updating a lot of images, (my old ones are pathetic), and add in-depth item info. Have also straightened up a lot of pages that seemed all over the place. There were different layouts on every page it seemed, so I tried to put some method to the madness.
If I can get those deleted, it would be great, or if you can point me in the right direction, that would be awesome.
That would be a lot to put on one page though. And I don't know what statistics are in the other games. It's been too long, or if they are affected by level of item, or even have the same statistic meanings for that matter. I would have to pull out my other carts, and look, but this is about as much as I can put on my plate at once. If I finish rf4 stuff, then I can definitely work on other rf info in the future.
I have definitely seen people complain on the pages about the lack of in-depth detail.
It will be a lot of work, and take a lot of time, but I can work on it.
BTW I'm going on vacation. Going to try to transfer my stuff to my laptop so I can work on things away too, but I don't know if the resolution will be the same yet or not. So if uploads stop for like 2 weeks from me, don't think I just dropped the project. ;)
So, after a significant amount of incidental data (I'm trying to ship Lvl10 of all fish types), I've found that locations for fishing are not as specific as the page thinks; outside of Legendary Scales and Carlos' Resort, only the season actually matters. I'm not entirely certain how to proceed with changing the page, except that the resort requests should probably also get some kind of mention.
Incidental data on the Resort: if you actually pay to fish, there will be one spawn that's always Salmon, one spawn that's always Char, one spawn that's always Shrimp (will soon check Fall but I'm fairly sure it was there in Spring), one spawn that's either your request or nonexistent (depending on whether you actually made a request, obviously) and one spawn that's a regular Dragon Lake fish of the current season (and therefore possibly a Legendary Scale instead).
Update: Yes, the Shrimp was still there. Also, I remembered that the other fish can also be Legendary Scales, or at least the request fish can be.
I also changed the listings so that they reflected the discovered reality (and the Fall and Winter dungeons) but I was talking about redesigning the tables because the current columns were based on false premises. That's still on the table.
But seriously, holy crap. In the comments for RF3's Monster page (you're revamping the monster section at the moment so this is relevant) I've listed the boss monsters that are in the game but not on the page (Octopirate is the one that wasn't explicitly named) so... those might need to be filled in? I don't have images and won't be able to get them, but I could at least fill in the "attacks" section if you don't have the means to...
Well, do you still have RF3 lying around? If not, then you'll need some other source for the attacks those bosses use, which the bosses that are on the page already have. I'm offering to be that source should it actually be necessary.
^Oops, I started writing the question in the title, anyway, please help me out and explain how you get golden fish trophies. Every source I check either does not entail it, or doesn't know. I have been farming Rockfish for 5 IRL MONTHS. Only recently did I get the silver trophy. I really hope you know the answer to this. Also, I'm new here, and I might just stay. I love this series of games and think it's a shame that it is not more popular. I like what you are doing here with this tiny little wiki. By the way, I know how discouraging a wiki like this- with all the minimal growth and inactivity -is. I'm a Moderator on "Smashpedia", a wiki for Super Smash Bros., and only... less than 30 active people. I remember when it was similiar to this place with only like... 5. Aside from my digression, please give me some kind of answer to this. I am desperate AF.
Hey, there. I have noticed that some articles have rather negative comments which are insulting attributes to a character(s) or their appearance, which may also seem off-putting for many review readers. I was wondering if it would be possible for you to make me a discussion moderator so I can get rid of them?
Hey. I don't really need a comment moderator, since this wiki is pretty low-activity and I read the comments most of the time. I remove anything that's too inappropriate, but there isn't any rule against insulting a character.
If there's a particular comment that bothers you, you could message me and I could review it.
Well, in particular, many comments on Kiel's page.
Could you perhaps delete the one where everyone insinuates against him and calls him a "child" or "young" = "pedo", sort of stuff. If so, then would not the same apply to Lest? Also, he has random A Fandom User comments which say these or more. Could you please remove anything relating to these? Thanks.
Also, I noticed you don't post at the Exile Election wikia when I stumbled upon it. What's with that?
