Monica (モニカ, Monika, Monica^[1]) is a character in Rune Factory 3: A Fantasy Harvest Moon.

Personality[]

Monica doesn't like strangers very much and can act a little spoiled. She hates fish and other types of seafood because she finds them slimy and gross. However, she likes flowers and gems. She wants to open an accessory shop in the future.

Appearance[]

Monica is a young girl with orange hair and eyes. She wears two outfits; one casual and one for the beach.

Story[]

Monica is Wells' youngest granddaughter and Shara's younger sister. She is the only child until Micah gets married and has his own kids. As such, Monica is also the youngest battle partner in Rune Factory 3: A Fantasy Harvest Moon. This is reflected by her starting at the lowest level 2.

At first, Monica won't like Micah very much. The dynamic of their relationship changes as they grow closer together. Monica is wary of him and often bites him. She tries to keep him at bay if he even glances at her older sister. In addition, the first time Micah sees Monica's swimsuit and comments on it, Monica will call him dirty. So until Micah completes one of Shara's requests and becomes Monica's rose prince for the day, she will be pretty antagonizing for a while. In one of her requests, Monica will comment that if Micah doesn't marry Shara, she would be happy to marry him in Shara's place. She won't give Micah a birthday present before this request is completed.

Objective: After this request is accepted, Monica will wait in Sharance: Plaza. First, go talk to Shara to receive the Rose Bouquet. Give it to Monica. After a bit of talking, Monica will agree to follow Micah. Bring her to Vale: Icy Rosebush. Then, Oddward: Rainbow Falls, then Privera: Flower Field. Then, after 7PM, visit Sol Terrano: Star Dunes to stargaze with Monica. After the scene, they will be back at the flower shop to have a short conversation.

Relationships[]

Monica and her older sister, Shara, both share a close bond, often going around festivals together. Monica is somewhat protective of her, not letting Micah even take a glance in her direction. She can get into fights with her when Shara doesn't let her do what she wants, but Monica loves her very much and looks up to her.

She has a loving relationship with her grandfather, Wells, who often spoils her.

Later in the game, Monica also befriends Kuruna, who begins to stroll around town with her and her sister after getting along with Shara. She thinks Kuruna is pretty and likes her a lot.

As a backlone support, Monica prefer tos tay back and use spells to hit enemies. She would also use restoration spells but only when she is affected by status effects or when there are enemies in the same area.

Supportive: Medi/spells

Monica can cast restoration spells such as Medipoison, Mediparalyze and Mediseal.

Special Skill: Aero Sweeper

Monica uses Aero Squall level 2 and 3 to attack enemies at a distance.

During the yearly Flea Market, her "Mystery Prize" earned at her minigame at 5 wins is none other than a bite from her. That or it's simply something she cherishes and will not part with, hence, the bite.
