Herman de Sainte-Coquille (ヘリチャコス・レムナンド・ヴィヴィアージュ, Herichakosu Remunando Viviāju, Helichacos^[1]) is a character in Rune Factory 2: A Fantasy Harvest Moon.

Personality[]

Herman is a rich foodie who usually talks about eating and food that he enjoys. He admires cooking skill and is always looking for new, complex foods to try. He is proud of his children's refined manners, and has a generous personality. He rewards Kyle handsomely for fulfilling his requests, and contributes his time to overseeing most of the town's festivals.

Appearance[]

Herman looks nearly identical to most parents in De Sainte-Coquille family.

Relationships[]

Herman is the father of Rosalind and Max. He has a working relationship with mayor Byron, overseeing the town's festivals. He also gets along with Egan, probably due to their shared interest in cooking.

Story[]

Herman is pleased to see Kyle as a new face in town, hoping that he will bring some new culinary tastes with him. He encourages Kyle to bring him anything he cooks up, but cooking is not unlocked until the second generation.

Second Generation[]

In the second generation, he is the grandfather of Leann and Sera and Serena. He still spends his mornings in the manor, but goes out sometimes and can often be found in the manor's dining hall with Egan and Byron.

Gifts[]

Herman is the most difficult character to befriend. As his only liked items are Cooking items, it can take years for Kyle to befriend him. Aaron and Aria can have an easier time if they buy the Mixer as soon as possible and take the right lessons from Mana.

Schedule[]

He officiates all of the festivals, standing at the top of De Sainte-Coquille Park. On weekdays, he can be found inside De Sainte-Coquille manor, standing at the top of the stairs. In the second generation, he goes downstairs in the evenings to have dinner with Byron and Egan.
