Alicia (アリシア, Arishia, Alicia[1]) is a bachelorette in Rune Factory 2: A Fantasy Harvest Moon.

Profile[]

Personality[]

Alicia is the fortune teller who can predict the weather, change the weather, tell where characters are and give love readings. She has a mischievous personality, often telling - and then personally fulfilling - unfortunate prophecies for people who annoy her. She is generally relaxed, with a devil-may-care attitude and independent lifestyle, but gets touchy when people question the authenticity of her fortunes.

Even though Alicia is very skilled at reading locations and the weather, she makes her readings about the future "come true" by causing them to happen. For example, on her first request, Alicia will do a fortune reading on Kyle. Alicia will tell Kyle that she sees "unexpected money-loss in your future" and then will charge him a large amount of money for her readings, even though she asked to do a reading on Kyle.

Appearance[]

Alicia dresses in a large purple wizard hat and cape. Her skirt has a long slit along the side, showing her leg, and her arms have similar cutouts. Her outfit is adorned with gold tassels and white lace. Her soft-pink hair is a similar shade to her brother Ray's.

Relationships[]

She is the daughter of Natalie and older sister of Ray. Her mother is against her fortune telling and often tells her it's a waste of time and that she should get a real job. Despite their arguments, Natalie loves Alicia very much. Alicia appears to have a calmer relationship with her younger brother, who often moderates the arguments between her and their mother.

Alicia is also friends with Cecilia and Mana, hanging out with them in the North Square on festival days and hanging out in Pumpkin General rather than her own house on rainy days. She sometimes gets into fights with Mana when Mana suggests her fortunes aren't authentic, but they make up because their friendship is more important.

Marriage[]

Alicia's engagement item is a Crystal Ball, which will be obtained through her 10th request. If Kyle isn't ready to get married when he gives her the Crystal Ball, he can decline marriage and present Alicia with the Crystal Ball again later for a second chance.

Unlike the other bachelorettes, giving Alicia gifts only increases her friendship level, not her heart level. In order to increase Alicia's LP, Kyle must pay her for her fortunes. Asking her to festivals such as Flower Festival and Dancing Festival also increases her heart level, as well as completing her requests.

Story[]

Alicia has a stormy relationship with her mother due to Natalie's lack of faith in her fortune-telling, which she calls unscientific. Over the first generation, she gets into fights with her friends who doubt the accuracy of her readings. This leads her to hire Kyle to "help" her fortunes come true. Eventually, she reveals that even she doubts herself sometimes, calling her own readings "nonsense."

As her friendship with Kyle grows, his faith in her fortunes helps her become more confident and stable in her relationships. If Kyle marries her, Natalie tells them at their wedding that she now supports Alicia's choice as a fortune-teller, and only wants her to be happy.

Second Generation[]

Alicia stays single if Kyle didn't marry her. She continues to tell fortunes on the docks, but sometimes comments that it doesn't make as much money as she hoped for. If Kyle didn't marry her, she still lives at home with Natalie, Ray, and, if Kyle didn't marry her either, her sister-in-law, Julia.

Predictions[]

Alicia offers a number of predictions whenever the protagonist speaks to her in the dock area. She will offer a prediction of the weather (10 GP to check, 100 GP to change), of any character's current location (10 GP) or a 'love reading' to determine which villagers have a romantic interest in the protagonist (10 GP). Her prices double for Aaron and Aria, even if she is their mother.

Her Weather and Locations predictions are always accurate, while her love readings will be too, though she will ignore Julia. When any eligible girl attains 6 Hearts (Love Points), Alicia will be able to tell the player.

She may be able to change the weather (for a price) but this may not always work (ex: festival days are always sunny). If Kyle marries her, her predictions will be free, but she will charge Aaron/Aria double.

Gifts[]

Alicia's gift tastes are relatively easy: Strawberries are expensive, but can be grown indefinitely in Trieste Forest, which is an easy dungeon. In the second generation, French Toast is an easy recipe. Remember that gifts only raise Alicia's FP. Kyle must court her on festivals and use her fortune-telling service to raise her LP.

Trivia[]

  • In the second generation, unless she had married Kyle, nothing will change.
  • Alicia is the only character who does not stay in her own house on rainy days, even though she isn't working. The only other characters who leave home on rainy days do so for work.
  • Alicia and Cecilia continue to visit Mana's room on Friday nights, even if Mana is living in the farm house.
  • When building a school, although her dialogue tells Kyle to talk to Byron on the first floor of "our" house, Kyle actually needs to talk to him in the first floor of Byron's house.
  • Alicia will never pick up on Julia in her Love Readings, even if Julia's LP is at 10. This could be a bug, or it could indicate animosity between them.
