When you try to initiate this relationship with a person at 7 Love Points, they may mistake it for a joke (More recomended at 8). The higher their LP, the less likely this is to happen, and the more boyfriends/girlfriends you have, the more likely this is to happen. (LP will increase much slower from 7 points up if you are not dating a person.)
In order to marry someone, you must trigger two events: A sub-event in which the player gets to know more about them, and a marriage event in which they will propose or be prompted to be proposed to. As with all events, these will trigger at random. However, the marriage event will not be able to be triggered until the player is currently dating them, have gone on a minimum of three dates, have seen the sub-event, and have their LP at 10. For the bachelors (and Xiao Pai), the sub-event will also include the marriage candidate involved trying to propose to you. If you turn them down, you will still be able to propose to them later on.
- If you want to propose to someone, you must have both a double bed and an engagement ring. In order for a reverse proposal to occur, you don't need a ring. (In other words, Frey only needs these things if she turns a proposal down before going to propose herself, but Lest has to obtain them for anyone other than Xiao Pai.)
- When you meet a new bachelor/bachelorette, there will be short anime cutscenes for their introduction. Each marriage candidate will also have a cutscene in their main sub-event. The bachelorettes and bachelors will also now wear pajamas.
